Delivery Delays to Western Australia

Delivery Delays to Western Australia

Due to extreme weather conditions and flooding that has caused damage, and inflicted closures to railway lines and major roads which will heavily impact transport to and from Western Australia, Auspost have announced delayed on shipments Western Australia.

Although this is completely out of our control, we sincerely apologise for the delay and appreciate your patience, and we will endeavour to fulfill all orders as soon as possible.

StarTrack Express items sent to Western Australia from the east coast of Australia may take up to an additional two weeks to be delivered.

Heavy rain and flooding have closed the Sydney-to-Perth rail line. The Melbourne-to-Adelaide rail link was closed due to damage caused by a train derailment and reopened on 21 November, however delays are expected due to a backlog of freight.

Our StarTrack Premium service is not affected by the rail network disruptions. If you need to send items to Western Australia urgently, consider this option. Please note that as more customers opt to use this service, there may be a two-day delivery delay.

What StarTrack are doing

  • They are regularly scanning items to ensure we can identify and track any that may potentially be delayed. They'll let you know about any impacted items directly where possible.
  • In line with increased activity at this time of year, they’ve more than doubled their usual airfreight capacity, which powers the StarTrack Premium service. They're also looking to access additional passenger flights on weekends to increase their capacity.
  • To ensure they get your delivery to your door as soon as they can, they've started weekend deliveries in all metro capitals and some regional cities and towns.
  • They’re engaging the Commonwealth Government around participating in national emergency relief and response arrangements.
